1. Nitro Parent Scholarship:


Award: $2,000

Eligibility: Age 17 or older at the time of entry, and who meet one (1) of the four (4) following eligibility requirements at the time of entry:

  1. A parent who currently has a child enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
  2.  A student who is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
  3. A parent who currently has a child enrolled as a high school senior located within the United States;
  4. A student who is currently enrolled as a high school senior located with the United States (“Entrant”).

Nitro cares about providing you the resources you need to successfully navigate financing college. That’s why we’re offering you the opportunity to earn a $2,000 scholarship from Nitro. We know that college is a big step forward in achieving your goals and we want to help you get there using all the tools Nitro has to offer. Scholarship is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who have a child who is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university located in the United States.


2. Thomas J. Henry Leadership Scholarship Program:

Award: $1,000
Eligibility: To be eligible, each student must be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, an accredited college or university. Applicants currently enrolled in a college or university must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 to qualify for the scholarship.
The scholarship is available to all students ages 18 and over, at all levels from high school senior to graduate school.

3. Young Writers Awards:


Award: Up to $500

Eligibility: Applicant must be a student in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade

Deadline: November 1, 2019

Bennington College has a unique literary legacy, including ten Pulitzer Prize winners, three U.S. poet laureates, four MacArthur Geniuses, countless New York Times bestsellers, and two of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people.
In celebration of this legacy, Bennington launched the Young Writers Awards to promote excellence in writing at the high school level. Our goal with this competition is to recognize outstanding writing achievement by high school students.

4. Future Designer Scholarship:


Award: $2,500

Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 17 years old and already accepted or enrolled in this educational organization.

We want your help designing our next top-selling holiday card – and are proud to offer our scholarship program. The event is held on the Main Campus of the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Event check-in will take place in the Mitchell Center at 7:45 a.m. (CST).

JSU | Freshman Scholarship Information

JSU | Freshman Scholarship Information


JSUs 2020-2021 Freshmen Scholarships (non-competitive/merit-based) have just been announced! We will begin awarding these automatically to admitted students starting next week.

In addition to our non-competitive/merit based scholarships, we also offer competitive scholarships including the JSU Honors Scholarship and Leadership Scholarship only available to freshmen. There are also 250+ General Competitive Scholarships. Students can apply for the 250+ General Competitive Scholarships through the JAXapp (one application that will match students to the scholarships for which they qualify). The JSU Honors and Leadership Scholarships each have their own applications. All competitive scholarships have an application submission deadline of February 1, 2020. Students will need their MyJSU login information to access our scholarship application portal, Scholarship Manager .

JSU will be hosting a second Fall Preview Day on October 5th! Preview Day is an open-house event where students can connect with faculty and staff, take a campus tour with student leaders, see residence halls and the state-of-the-art Recreation and Fitness Center, and so much more! Preview Day is a FREE event and attendees receive tickets to the 6pm JSU football game that night!

University of North Alabama Fall Preview Day

Please see the attached information regarding FALL Preview day November 2, 2019.

Admission requirements to UNA are as follows:

ACT - 18
SAT - 960
GPA - 2.25

An ACT score of 20 will qualify for certain scholarships.

To qualify for Leadership and Academic scholarships, the priority admissions deadline is February 1, 2020.  Your resume should be submitted by this date, as well.
