We would like to invite you and your students and faculty to attend an Open House at the Bessemer Composite Squadron of Civil Air Patrol. It will be held at the Bessemer Municipal Airport on February 17 at 6:30pm. You will have the opportunity to see many of the activities in which we participate, including: drones, aerospace, flight, cyber patriot, and emergency services.
We offer programs for youth ages 12-20, teachers, and adults.
Our cadet program includes training in leadership, character, physical fitness, emergency services, and aerospace. All our cadets are able to receive free flights in a powered aircraft and a glider aircraft.
Our program for teachers gives free STEM kits to use in the classroom. Teachers can also participate in our TOPFLIGHT program and receive a free flight in a Civil Air Patrol plane.
Adults can participate in emergency services, aerospace, and cadet programs.
I have attached a flyer with more information. Please distribute this to your students and faculty or anyone else that may be interested in our amazing program.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you.
1st Lt. Valerie Sawyer, Civil Air Patrol
