NPHC Scholarship Award

Seniors:  Attached is a scholarship that Mrs. Hope forwarded to me yesterday.  Scholarship must be mailed to the address in the application and have a post mark of May 1, 2020.   The scholarship committee are allowing some exceptions to the requirements you will read on the attached scholarship application; those exceptions are highlighted in YELLOW and pasted below:
The Birmingham Chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is still accepting applications for the 2019-2020 NPHC scholarship award.
*Of note we are aware that applicants may have difficulty in completing some of the requirements for the application due to school closures as a result of COVID-19 crisis.
Therefore the committee will allow the following exceptions for submitted applications.
2. Submit official school transcript (with official raised stamp) showing a 3.0 GPA or higher. (An official school transcript is preferred, however, if an applicant is unable to obtain an official transcript from their school and unofficial transcript will be accepted)
3. Submit (3) three SIGNED letters of recommendation on OFFICIAL LETTERHEAD. (Must be from a teacher, advisor, principal, work manager, community organization or house of worship. Include title in signature.)
(Signed letters of recommendation are preferred. If an applicant is unable to obtain/submit signed recommendations letters, an unsigned letter(s) will be accepted, but must include the phone number of the person writing/submitting the recommendation letter.
Please share/distribute the application attached to this email with graduating high school seniors.
Application Deadline: May 1, 2020.
