Al.Com wants to hear your story...

See the article below education reporter, Trisha Powell Crain, and share your #OG4LiFe Class of 2020 story!

Smh. What a way to end the year. No one’s ever had a graduation year like this, so we’re creating a memory like no class has ever had before.
We’re looking to celebrate you and share your story. What would you want to say to the Class of 2020? We want you to tell us!
Write an essay or record a quick video and leave your mark as part of your historic moment in time - the first class to have a virtual graduation.
Here are some questions or prompts to think about (You don’t have to answer all of these! Just some inspiration.)
  1. How has your life been impacted by the circumstances around the coronavirus?
  2. Describe how you are feeling right now?
  3. What have you done to adapt to the current circumstances?
  4. What are your plans for the future? This year. Next year. Beyond.
  5. If you could say anything inspiring to other members of your class, what would it be?
  6. If you could say anything to all of Alabama, what would it be?
In your essay or video, make sure you introduce yourself and shout out your school.
Some guidelines:
Personal essay:
  • 600 words or less (basically a page)
  • 8.5 x 11” artworks also accepted
Video:
  • Less than two minutes.
  • Shot in portrait mode only - hold your phone vertically.
Email your response to classof2020@al.com by Thursday, April 30th.
